“Knowledge is Power…but ONLY if that knowledge is the TRUTH!”

The love of my life was telling me today about a good friend of hers who found herself suddenly ‘downsized’ this past week.  Depending on the circles you move in, or what you watch, read or listen to for that matter, that’s not exactly what we’d call ‘breaking news’… except, that is, for the people it’s broken to.

Well I’m not here to talk doom ‘n gloom or coach you into a depression, quite the opposite.  In fact let me start by telling you why I’m proud of my love’s story and why her friend’s challenge is the best thing that could have happened.  You see when her friend told her about what had happened, she replied with my favorite coaching, “The Universe loves you.”

Sounds like New Age BS you say?  Well, I beg to differ.  The best thing to do when faced with any challenge, in my humble opinion is to GROW.  That’s why it’s part of my Complete Coach program (if you haven’t gone through my free program…HELLO!?! I didn’t write it because I was bored…).  So let’s apply it:

• G.oal:  To get a good referral letter (usually easy when you get downsized), and make a NEW plan.
• R.eality:  The job is done.  Get the lesson and move on, don’t waste time on apathy or denial.
• O.ptions:  The best thing about this challenge is that she can move toward what she feels aligned with. (She had confessed she didn’t like her job in the pharmaceutical industry and if not for the money she would have left long ago… talk about a message from the Universe.)
• W.ill:  Her next move, is to regroup, choose a new direction and TAKE MASSIVE ACTION! (The best way to get the Law of Attraction working for you…)

So in her case the Universe certainly loves her.  You can only operate in ‘the dark‘ so long before it starts operating in you.  We live in a time when one of the best things we have going for us is uncertainty.  The fact is, this new ‘global economy’ has changed the way things work in the world.  Manufacturing, in North America anyway, is on the way out.  And yet the opportunity to pursue a personal vision, to carve out a unique personal brand, has never been better.  I’m sure you’ve heard of this little thing called the ‘internet‘   The fact is, my business started with little more than a Dreamhost account with a free domain.  A load cheaper than the brick and morter cafe I used to own…and I don’t just mean money.

The fact is, I was so far from my purpose I was miserable.  It was a fact that became evident this past week when I was coaching in Denver Colorado.  I’m still working through my ‘prostatitis’ which is about as much fun as having your undies filled with razor blades…but while I was coaching…Pain Free.

You see, helping people is what I’m here to do…The Universe Loves Me.
